We are happy to announce that we have reopened the Neuro Hospitality House to guests on a limited basis effective July 1^st.  We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees and will be in full compliance with all mandates from the CDC, MN Dept. of Health and other regulatory agencies.  Thank you so much for your continued support during this difficult time. 

It always seems like summer is so busy and just fly’s by, and July was no exception!  We had two great events this month with our Walking Wednesday partnership during National Hospitality house week, and our sponsored Honkers game to close out the month

On July 24^th, we were able to partner with Mayo clinic on their Walking Wednesday Initiative and give our water to the walkers and meet some people to tell them all about Neuro House. We had some great help from volunteers and even got the help of our little ones!

Then on July 31^st we all got together to enjoy a little baseball.  We were able to sell 315 tickets, which was the most of any sponsored non profit so far this year.  Our vice president Ryan threw out the first pitch and it was such a wonderful time with friends, family and The Honkers!

Celebrating National Hospitality House Week

What is a Hospitality House?

It is a facility or home that offers lodging at a significantly reduced cost to patients, their families, and caregivers while receiving medical care away from their home communities.  Unlike a hotel or hospital room, a hospitality house makes it their goal to help those going through very challenging health care situations by providing a comfortable, home-like setting. Volunteers and dedicated staff run them. 

National Hospitality House Week is July 21st through July 27th!

Here at Neuro Hospitality House, we join in celebrating these unique and vital organizations.  We are proud to offer an affordable, comfortable, and homelike setting in our community.  We are in the heart of Rochester, Minnesota; just a shuttle ride away from Mayo Clinic. 

How can you help?

This year, we are participating in Mayo Clinic’s “Walking Wednesdays” program.  Please consider stopping at our information table at the Wellness Stop on 2nd Street on your lunch hour walk.  Help us celebrate National Hospitality House Week by signing up to become a volunteer, purchase tickets for our upcoming casino night, make a goods or cash donation, or stop by and say “hi” to our staff!

Have you heard?
Our dear house manager Ruth is retiring.  Ruth had a true passion and love for the Neuro Hospitality House and was such a force with in the house.  The guests she served were all treated like members of her very own family. We would be remis if we let her leave without a proper thank you.  As we brainstormed Thank You ideas, we were reminded of her epic thank you notes. 

As our epic thank you note to Ruth, please help us surprise her!  We are asking you to donate in Ruth’s name between now and May 30^th.  At the end of the fundraising period we will present her with a plaque for the house thanking her for her service, which includes the donor names.  The plaque will reside in the house for years to come. You are also welcome to remain anonymous.
